Excellent for what it is....

Graham Bleathman's stylised cutaway illustrations of various Gerry Anderson TV series' crafts are classics of their kind and have been featured in children's comics and annuals for years. Unfortunately, the previous reviewer got the wrong end of the stick and expected them to be detailed blueprints, which would enable a modeller to scratch build their own versions of the craft. That really isn't the point of these illustrations at all. As that person has now probably found, there are plenty of specialist magazines, books and websites featuring details and hints to help people make accurate models.

Excellent resource across the board for Supermarionation shows

If you are a fan of Gerry Anderson's signature shows back in the 60's and have any interest in the fantastic technology imagined in these shows this is the one book to get. This book shows cut away views of vehicles and locations from the most notable shows Anderson did using his trademark Supermarionation puppetry. You get to know how each vehicle runs and it's performance stats. You get descriptions of weapons and technology found in these vehicles. You get to see where all the features rooms are in the various bases and homes, and rooms never seen in the series. It's a veritable goldmine of information. Here's a breakdown on what in the book from each show:
Stingray - The Stingray submarine, Marineville base of operations and Titan's Terrorfish sub.
Fireball XL-5 - The titular rocketship, Fireball XL-5.
Thunderbirds - Thunderbirds 1-5 are detailed here just like the first volume. Also included is the Zero-X spaceship from Thunderbirds are Go!
Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons - Angel Interceptor, Cloudbase, Spectrum Pursuit Vehicle and Spectrum Maximum Security Vehicle (along with a host of other vehicles with limited stats and no cross-sections).
Joe 90 - Joe's flying car and cottage home.
You really do get a lot of detail from this 48 page book. If you are a Thunderbirds fans this books is not bad, but not really the book for you. You only get a small, albeit most important, portion of what's out there for the series. Thunderbirds fans should go for International Rescue Thunderbirds: 1964 Onwards (All Marks and Models) (Owners' Workshop Manual), which has almost every technical detail out there on the franchise. For all of the other shows this book is the only one that will give you so much wealth and detail for each show. It is a must for Supermarionation fans.
